A Sitter Session is a fun and relaxed way to capture your little one as their personality is starting to develop and shine through. Typically taking place between 6 months - 12 months (every baby develops at their own individual pace), the sitter photoshoot is a great opportunity to get beautiful, detailed portraits of your baby before they take their first steps and start toddling away from the camera!
I often get feedback about how relaxed my sessions are, and this is something that I have cultivated over many years of photographing families and babies. My Sitter photoshoots are specially designed to make sure your child feels happy and at ease. After all, a smiling baby makes for the best photos.
Baby portraits with oodles of personality
Whilst newborn portraits are a rite of passage for many families, older baby photoshoots can sometimes be overlooked in the busyness of family life. The reality is that these photoshoots are just as special as your newborn shoot. Newborn yawns are replaced with giggles and smiles, and sleepy eyes are replaced with eye contact and mischief!
With a Sitter Session, the decor is kept to a minimum to keep the focus solely on your child as the star of the show. Soft, light materials, neutral outfits and plain backgrounds keep the photos cosy, calm and natural. To help achieve that gorgeous, warm aesthetic that is so popular amongst my clients, I have a large selection of adorable outfits at the studio, available in sizes 6-9m and 9-12m.
Your Sitter Session can either take place in my home photography studio in Worcester Park, KT4 or on location at a pre-vetted setting in the Surrey or South West London Area during the warmer months.

When should I book a Sitter photoshoot?
A sitter session is best booked around the 7-10 month stage, when your little one can sit on their own but is not yet on the move! You are welcome to book any time from 6 months onwards.
How do I book a Sitter photoshoot?
To book your little one in for Sitter portraits, simply fill out the contact form with a few details and I’ll get back to you by email within 48 hours to arrange a date for your session.
What should my baby wear for their Sitter photoshoot?
Neutral colours are usually best, as they allow the focus to be on your baby’s face and personality! When you book your session, I'll send you a link to my client wardrobe which is full of high-quality baby outfits in sizes 6m-18m. Alternatively, you can find your own outfit, and I have a styling guide to help you choose the perfect outfit for the session!
What do I need to bring to a Sitter session?
Nothing at all, just yourself and your baby! I have everything we could possibly need in my studio, so you can sit back and relax whilst your little one has loads of fun!
How long does the session last and where is it held?
Sitter Sessions last up to 45 minutes and will be held in my studio in Worcester Park, Surrey. There is free parking on the driveway and a side gate providing easy access for prams and buggies. If you’re travelling by public transport, Worcester Park Station and bus stops (served by the 213, 151, SL7 and S3 routes) are a two minute walk away.
How many photos will we get from the session?
You’ll usually receive between 50-70 images to choose from in your online viewing gallery. I try to give you as many as possible from the session so that you can pick your favourites. If you love them all so much you can’t decide (yes, it’s a common problem!), you can purchase the entire gallery for a fixed price of £200 - decision made!
How long does it take to receive the gallery?
I edit all of your images myself to ensure your final images are pixel perfect. It usually takes between 7-10 days for your final edits to be ready and uploaded to your private gallery, but in busier seasons it can take up to 14 days.
Can we print the photos ourselves?
Yes, of course! You get full printing rights with any images that you purchase, but I can also arrange for your prints to be done professionally by my trusted list of suppliers (click here for a full list of printed products available).
